FAQs

If I purchase an ebook, how do I read it? Will it be difficult to download the book to my e-reader?

If you've ever downloaded one of my free short stories, you've already used Book Funnel, which is as straightforward as you can get. When you purchase an ebook, you'll get an email from Book Funnel with a link to download the book in whichever format you like, or send the ebook directly to your e-reader. (If you can't find the email, check your spam folder.) All your books will be stored in your library at https://My.BookFunnel.com.

Book Funnel can also help with tech support if you have difficulty downloading any of your ebooks. All you have to do is click the help link at the top of the page or email them and they'll send a handy tech faerie to fix things for you. Well, not exactly, but they're certainly more tech-savvy than I am ;)

What about audiobooks?

Audiobooks are also delivered using Book Funnel, and you can choose whether to download an MP3 or listen in the Book Funnel app.

Can I loan your ebooks or audiobooks to friends and family?

Sure! All my digital books are free of DRM encryption so you can share them with your friends and family, or transfer them between devices... whatever you like. They aren't tied to an account at a retailer. Once you buy a book, it's yours to keep.

How are print books delivered?

Print books are delivered through a service called BookVault and are shipped directly to you. Print time is usually 72 working hours and shipping can take up to a week or two depending on where you live. As BookVault is actively looking for local printers in various countries, I'll keep the site updated with current shipping times.

Note: print books from my store are unsigned, as BookVault is a print-on-demand service, but if you're looking to buy a signed book, I do have several titles listed on the Broken Binding online indie bookstore.

How does buying direct help authors?

If you buy directly from my store, I'll get paid right away, and I'll get to keep 95% of the list price (instead of 35-70%, which is standard for retailers). As a bonus, buying directly from the author decreases our dependence on the big retail stores, and we can offer deeper discounts because there isn't a middleman taking a cut.
