Hey folks!
I’m extremely excited to announce something I’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while. Last year, I was invited to take part in a fantasy anthology featuring a short story I wrote set in a brand-new world not featured in any series I’ve written beforehand. The anthology is called the Book of Spores, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join such a stellar lineup of authors writing stories spanning genres and worlds.

Across dimensions, it creeps and consumes.
Hidden in the vaults of a world-spanning library lie the records of a mysterious book, one made of mold and magic. Varied accounts of its existence remain scattered throughout the multiverse, but when an archivist attempts to bring its pages together, she will learn how dangerous a book—and her own ambitions—can be . . .
Collecting fungal tales from across countless universes, this FanFiAddict anthology spotlights the best of fantasy, science fiction, and horror, ready to spread across the multiverse like spores. Delve into sixteen strange stories by authors from the FanFiAddict book blog and SFF Addicts Podcast, and prepare for your imagination to be colonized by The Book of Spores*.*
My story is a short standalone mystery in a gaslamp fantasy world in which humans live alongside mysterious creatures called the Otherkin. MC, Elisabeth, is a detective who solves magical crimes alongside her shapeshifting sidekick, Shrike. The short story is about a strange book that shows up at a museum… and staff members start mysteriously vanishing.
The theme of the anthology was fungi, which was a lot of fun to play with, and I’m excited to share this glimpse into a new world I’ll be exploring more of in the future.
The Kickstarter is now live, and you can get ebooks, paperbacks, and also an exclusive deluxe hardcover that’s going to be absolutely stunning!

I hope you’ll consider checking out the campaign while you wait for my next launch! (I may have another campaign of my own in the works for early 2026… more on that soon.)
Happy reading!
